Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 As long as our country continues to go down this path of godlessness, we will not and cannot be blessed by our creator. God has made His perfect will known to us through His commandments and yet we do not listen. It is my prayer that we humble ourselves to His perfect will for our lives. My faith journey is summed up in 3 words, God is faithful. My family and I enjoy the great pleasure of giving our time and energy. Over the years I have been shown that the more I can give of myself to others, the more others can give of themselves to us. My background is in real estate and construction. We all know what a beating those two parts of the economy are taking right now and yet through it all God is faithful. My oldest son has just left for his second tour in Afghanistan. It has been hard, but God has given me a peace about his being deployed again as my wife and I know that it is in His hands and that whatever happens, God is faithful. We are but a vapor in God's overall plan, but through it all we know that just as the sparrow falls to the ground, God knows what our needs are. God has never broken one promise to us and through all of our trials and temptations I know, God is faithful. My work experience relates to the work of a U.S. House Representative. I have worked for myself and personally own 3 companies in Minnesota along with a Christian Retreat Center in the Pine City area (www.lindisfarneretreat.org), I have not only sat in the board room, I have climbed in the trench and done the work. My practical experience in working with all parties on projects in the House will be a great asset to me and the country. Those who have worked with me on projects know that I listen to all points of view and then make a decision based on what is best for the project. My only concern is the result; not who ultimately gets the credit. I am Ego Neutral and if someone has something to say, they know they can say it. But if I am ultimately responsible for the results, I lean heavily on my experience for guidance. I am a conservative who happens to align with the Republican Party because my moral principles of life are my line in the sand. Our politicians have taken so much from special interests they no longer know who they represent. I have not, and make the commitment to not take money from special interest groups. When elected, my special interest will be the people of the District, the State and our nation. My compass will be the Word of God and my comfort will be those who support me in prayer. God Bless
